Over 1,600 supporters raised $178,000 (and still counting!) to help those living in extreme poverty at the 15th Annual Concern Spring Run.
Thanks to the runners and walkers who showed their support on Saturday, April 13th at the Concern Spring Run in Central Park. Because of you, over $173,000 (and still counting!) was raised for Concern’s programs fighting extreme poverty in 25 of the poorest countries in the world. It was a beautiful spring morning and your support ensured it was a huge success!
"We were deeply moved by the outpouring of support from thousands of people in the tri-state area,” said Joe Cahalan, CEO for Concern Worldwide US. “Because of their commitment and compassion for those thousands of miles away, we’re able to continue our work helping vulnerable families escape the cycle of poverty through our Education, Health, Livelihoods, HIV & AIDS and Emergency Response Programs."
"There was a tremendous response from volunteers with over 150 volunteers who gave up their Saturday morning to make sure the event went off without a hitch” said Sarah de Tournemire, Concern’s Director of Development. “They were so enthusiastic and willing to help—it was just phenomenal!!"
